South-West Governors Convene Security Meeting in Ibadan

 

The governors of Nigeria’s South-West region have gathered in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, for a high-level meeting focused on regional security.

In attendance are Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo and Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti. Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is represented by his deputy, Kola Adeusi.

According to our correspondent, the meeting was convened to assess and review the current security landscape across the South-West.

Governor Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, confirmed the gathering to DAILY POST on Monday afternoon. Speaking briefly by phone, he stated:

“The meeting has commenced. All the governors are present except Governor Adeleke, who is represented by his deputy.”
