Residents of Gboko Local Government Area in Benue State have been left deeply shaken following reports that a young woman allegedly gave birth to a baby boy and caused the child’s death shortly after delivery.
The incident is said to have occurred in the early hours of Sunday, December 14, 2025, in an area behind Government Secondary School, Gboko. News of the development reportedly sparked grief and confusion within the community.
Locals have called on the police and relevant authorities to urgently step in, investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure that due process is followed.
