Wunmi, the widow of the late singer Mohbad, has provided a fresh update on the legal battle over the paternity of her son, Liam. Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, has repeatedly questioned whether Liam is truly his grandson and sought a court order compelling Wunmi to submit the child for a DNA test. Many Nigerians had claimed that Wunmi was avoiding the process.
However, in a new statement posted on her Instagram page, Wunmi suggested that it is actually her father-in-law who has been causing delays.
According to the statement released through her legal team, the case resumed in court yesterday, where Mr. Aloba applied for the DNA test to be conducted in two hospitals of his choice. The court dismissed his request, ruling that the test must be carried out in two neutral hospitals where neither party has any personal interest.
Wunmi maintains that she is committed to following the court’s directives and completing the process as required.
