Singer and influencer Jourdin Pauline has announced a break from social media, blaming persistent cyberbullying and hurtful remarks about her late sister.
Pauline revealed the decision in a post that has since been deleted, explaining that the sustained online harassment had affected her mental wellbeing. The development comes amid public backlash following her allegation of sexual assault against Tylil James of the Clover House content collective. James has denied the claim and said he has evidence to counter it.
Pauline said supporters of James subsequently targeted her online, subjecting her to what she described as false claims, threats and demeaning comments. She noted that the intensity of the attacks made stepping away from social platforms necessary to protect her health.
Explaining her withdrawal, Pauline said social media is fleeting, but her creative work will remain. She added that taking time off would allow her to focus on her music, art and long-term goals.
She also condemned comments and content referencing her family, particularly her late sister, saying she had come across videos and posts discussing her sister’s death. Pauline stressed that such remarks were inappropriate and deeply painful, noting that her sister could no longer speak for herself.
Pauline said she had tried to endure the situation for as long as possible but ultimately chose to disengage and focus on healing, faith and her creative journey going forward.
