Six journalists have lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Gombe State.
The fatal incident occurred on Monday, December 29, 2025, along the Gombe–Yola highway and involved a Hummer bus belonging to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
Preliminary reports indicate that the vehicle lost control, leading to the crash. Several other occupants sustained injuries and were immediately taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Emergency responders and relevant authorities have been notified, while investigations into the cause of the accident are expected to begin.
