Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has been selected in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Group Stage Best XI at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, according to SNOW TV NEWS.
Lookman impressed during Nigeria’s opening two matches against Tanzania and Tunisia, further cementing his reputation as one of Africa’s standout players. The Atalanta forward has recorded two goals and two assists so far in the tournament being held in Morocco.
SNOW TV NEWS also recalls that Lookman was named in the Team of the Tournament at the previous AFCON hosted by Côte d’Ivoire.
Tournament hosts Morocco have two players in the Group Stage Best XI — Noussair Mazraoui and Brahim DÃaz.
Other notable stars included in the selection are Senegal’s Sadio Mané, Ivory Coast’s Amad Diallo, and Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle was recognised as the Group Stage Best Coach for his team’s performances.
