Two Chelsea Fans Injured in Naples After Being Chased by Group of Napoli Ultras

Two Chelsea supporters were reportedly st@bbed in Naples, Italy, after being pursued through the streets by around 25 Napoli ultras ahead of the Champions League clash with Napoli.

The injured fans, who were part of a larger group visiting the city for the match, were rushed to hospital overnight. Authorities and Chelsea have urged fans in Naples to exercise “extreme caution.”

A close friend of one of the victims told The Sun:

"We were at one bar having a few drinks and decided to head to another. As we walked, we turned a corner and saw a group of about 25 fans shouting and asking where we were from. We all ran, but my friend got grabbed. While talking to them, he was st@bbed in the lower leg. He went to the hospital and was told he would be fine—it was terrifying."

Chelsea FC confirmed the incident in a statement:

"The club is aware of an incident that took place on Tuesday evening in Naples. Two fans are being treated in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. We urge all supporters to exercise extreme caution while in the city and to follow the safety advice shared ahead of this fixture."

The club also strongly advised fans to avoid walking alone and not to wear any clothing that identifies them as Chelsea supporters while in Naples.
