Paris Jackson, the 27-year-old daughter of late pop icon Michael Jackson, recently shared touching moments from a reunion with her mother, Debbie Rowe.
Paris posted a series of personal photos on her Instagram Stories on February 26, capturing warm moments from their time together. In one image, she smiled brightly while posing beside Debbie, who also appeared cheerful. Another snapshot showed the pair coordinating in cream-colored outfits.
Keeping her caption brief, Paris simply wrote “Lately,” accompanied by a heart emoji.
Paris’ relationship with her mother has taken an unconventional path. She and her brothers, Prince Jackson, 29, and Bigi Jackson, 24, were largely raised by their father until his passing in 2009 at the age of 50. Following Michael Jackson’s divorce from Rowe in 1999, she relinquished custody of the children.
As a result, Debbie was absent from much of Paris’ early upbringing. In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, Paris revealed that during her childhood, her biological mother “didn’t exist” in her daily life. She explained that it was only later, when she began questioning her background and identity, that she sought answers.
Despite the unusual circumstances, Paris has often stressed that she was raised in a loving environment. She grew up surrounded by influential women in her family, including her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and her aunt, Janet Jackson.
