Police Debunk Reports on ACP Bukola Kuti’s Alleged Redeployment to NIPSS

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has dismissed claims that ACP Bukola Yemisi Kuti was removed from her role as Principal Staff Officer 2 (PSO2) to former Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun and redeployed to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, Plateau State.

Reports had suggested that the redeployment took immediate effect and sparked conversations within the Force. Some senior officers were quoted as saying the move formed part of administrative changes following the leadership transition at Force Headquarters.

One source claimed that the Acting IGP had relieved ACP Kuti of her duties as PSO2 and reassigned her to NIPSS.

The position of Principal Staff Officer 2 is considered sensitive, given its close working relationship with the Inspector-General and its oversight of key operational and administrative matters.

However, the Force Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, refuted the reports in a post on 𝕏. He clarified that ACP Kuti’s transfer was approved by Egbetokun before the current Acting IGP, Olatunji Disu, assumed office.

Hundeyin also stated that she was not redeployed to NIPSS Kuru, describing the circulating reports as false.
