Americans Can’t Be Trusted – Iran Rules Out Negotiation With US

Mohammad Mokhber, a senior aide to Iran’s late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has declared that the country will not enter into negotiations with the United States.

Speaking on state television on Wednesday, Mokhber emphasized that Iran is prepared to sustain the ongoing conflict in the Middle East for as long as necessary. He stated that Tehran has no confidence in Washington and sees no grounds for diplomatic engagement.

“We will not go into any negotiation with the US. The Americans cannot be trusted. We can continue the war as long as we want,” he said.

Earlier, Iranian authorities announced a three-day state funeral for Khamenei, who was killed in joint US-Israeli airstrikes. According to the official news agency, Islamic Republic News Agency, mourners will be allowed to pay their respects starting at 10:00 p.m. (1830 GMT) at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosque in Tehran.

Khamenei, who was 86 at the time of his death, is scheduled to be laid to rest in his hometown of Mashhad in northeastern Iran.
