The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has provided 17 brand-new Honda cars to the newly elected APC chairmen across the state’s 17 local government areas.
Presenting the vehicles on behalf of the governor, Deputy Governor Idi Barde Gubana explained that the gesture was intended to make the chairmen’s duties easier. He noted that the initiative aims to strengthen party activities and boost grassroots mobilisation across the state.
Gubana urged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the vehicles, warning them to avoid actions that could cause division within the party. He also encouraged them to work towards uniting supporters and remain vigilant against political betrayal.
He further emphasized that the local government party chairmen must adhere to the principles and guidelines of the APC and maintain close collaboration with key stakeholders in the state while carrying out their responsibilities.
In his remarks, the state APC Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka, expressed appreciation to party stakeholders for their cooperation and support during the party congresses. He congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to show commitment by ensuring the party’s success in their respective local governments.
Gadaka also cautioned that the vehicles are strictly for party use and must not be sold. According to him, the vehicles are meant to support their activities and help them mobilise support for the party’s policies and programmes at the grassroots level.
