Nick Hogan is contemplating stepping into professional wrestling following the sudden passing of his father, WWE legend Hulk Hogan, in July.
Speaking at LAX on Thursday night, Nick said joining the wrestling world could help him feel closer to his father, whose death at 71 was officially attributed to a heart attack.
“You never know, man. It’s in the blood,” Nick said. “I’ve always loved the business. Being around it makes me feel closer to my dad. I’ve got a lot of love for it.”
Nick noted that he remains connected to the wrestling community, which he considers “family,” and said he is currently in “pretty good shape.” Fans recently speculated about a possible in-ring debut after he posted a workout photo with NWA wrestler Bryan Idol. When asked if it hinted at a future wrestling career, he simply replied, “You never know.”
His potential career move comes as the family navigates ongoing legal issues surrounding Hulk Hogan’s death. Although officials ruled his passing a natural death caused by a heart attack, records show he had previously battled leukemia and atrial fibrillation.
The family, however, is questioning the circumstances. On August 30, Nick and Hogan’s wife, Sky Daily, filed to extend the statute of limitations for a possible medical malpractice investigation involving doctors at Morton Plant Hospital and Tampa General Hospital.
In an interview in August, Nick said the family “did everything possible” to support Hogan following neck surgery in May and the complications that followed.
“It wasn’t an easy road,” he said. “He was really fighting to recover, and we tried to be there for him in every way.”
Hulk Hogan, father to Nick and Brooke with ex-wife Linda, pursued several business ventures outside wrestling, including a bar and the Real American Beer brand launched in June 2024. His Real American Freestyle league, co-founded with Eric Bischoff, debuted its first event on August 30.
