Supporters of former President Goodluck Jonathan were spotted on Saturday at the Peoples Democratic Party’s ongoing elective convention in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The group displayed flags featuring Jonathan’s image while projecting Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed as his prospective running mate.
SNOW TV reports that speculation continues around Jonathan’s potential return to contest the 2027 presidential election.
Although the former president has remained tight-lipped on the matter, his aides have reportedly confirmed his possible interest in participating in the highly anticipated election.
Posters of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde were also visible at the convention venue on Friday.
