Nigerian musician Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, has alleged that fellow artistes Don Jazzy and D’banj, alongside others, conspired to betray him years ago.
Speaking in a recent interview on Echo Room, JJC Skillz said the alleged betrayal occurred despite the support he gave them while they were struggling artists in the United Kingdom, including accommodation, food and clothing.
According to him, the group gained access to him through mutual contacts involved in running a television station. He explained that he had approached them for help in connecting with key figures in Nigeria’s music industry, a request they agreed to and eventually linked him to Bankulli.
JJC claimed that at the time, Don Jazzy and D’banj were working under him. However, he later heard claims—allegedly relayed by Ruggedman—that D’banj accused him of cheating them financially and announced their decision to leave his group.
He expressed shock at the accusation, insisting that the duo had not made any money while working with him and that he was the one introducing them to shows and catering to their needs.
As of the time of this report, Don Jazzy, D’banj and the others mentioned have not responded to the allegations.
