Veteran rapper and music executive Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Baddo, has shared that he is currently focused on prioritizing himself.
The YBNL founder explained that while he has spent years supporting others and building his own career, he is now fully committed to giving himself the attention he deserves.
In an interview with Flow 98.7 FM, he said:
“Right now, I’m at a phase in my life where I’m really trying to give myself undivided attention. All my life I’ve been trying to be there for people while also pushing my own work. But at this point, I want to focus on myself 100 percent.”
Olamide has played a major role in shaping the Nigerian music scene, elevating artists such as Lil Kesh, Young John, Pheelz, Fireboy DML, Lyta, Asake, Adekunle Gold, and many others through his YBNL label. He has also helped numerous artists gain mainstream success through impactful collaborations, including Zlatan Ibile, Naira Marley, Portable, Bella Shmurda, and more.
