As Governor of Edo State, I will enforce a complete ban on motorcycles in Uromi and Ekpoma.
I have made this announcement several times, and I will not change my stance. The ban is final—no more bikes in these areas.
We will switch to using Keke NAPEP, and every Keke will be registered with the state government. We will collect full biometric information from all drivers, including their home addresses, NIN, and BVN. Each Keke will also have a designated uniform colour and a special registration plate number.
Uromi will have its own unique Keke NAPEP colour, and Ekpoma will have its own as well.
All markets will close by 7:00 p.m., and no one will be allowed to stay overnight in the market.
I plan to revoke half of the land currently occupied by the Hausa Market in Uromi to build a police station. The remaining portion will be used to construct a proper market and fully fence the area.
I have my plans, and in due time, they will be executed. No one can challenge my authority. If any Traditional Ruler attempts to oppose me, I will immediately suspend and dethrone them.
As Governor, I expect all Traditional Rulers in Esanland to reside in their respective palaces. Any Traditional Ruler living outside Esanland will be suspended and removed from office.
