The Ekiti State Commissioner for Education, Dr Olabimpe Aderiye, has announced that public and private primary and secondary schools across the state will resume on Monday, January 5, for the second term of the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a statement released in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday, Aderiye said schools had been on break since December after the completion of the first term to observe the Christmas and New Year holidays.
She noted that all teachers and students are expected to return on the resumption date, as academic activities will begin immediately.
According to the commissioner, the resumption aligns with the state’s approved academic calendar and signals the start of a new phase of academic and extracurricular engagements for students.
Aderiye added that the Ekiti State Government remains committed to providing the necessary guidance and regulations to ensure quality education and improved outcomes in schools.
