Chelsea legend John Terry has voiced his disappointment following the club’s decision to part ways with manager Enzo Maresca.
Chelsea announced earlier today that Maresca had left his position by mutual consent, less than six months after guiding the Blues to the FIFA Club World Cup.
Reacting on TikTok, Terry said, “Enzo Maresca has just been sacked by Chelsea, and honestly, I’m completely shocked – I didn’t see it coming.
“I’ve had so many calls this morning after the news, and everyone expects me to know what’s going on. The truth is, I have no idea. I’m not involved with the first team, so I really don’t know.
“I’m disappointed, but there’s still a lot to play for this season – Champions League, Carabao Cup – so whoever comes in has plenty to aim for. As players, you have to get on with it, step up, and deal with it.”
