The University of Lagos (UNILAG) chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has announced an indefinite strike.
The union stated that the industrial action is in response to what it described as “amputated” salaries paid by the university management for January and February 2026.
This information was released in a communique signed by Idou Kehinde, ASUU chairperson, and Adesina Arikawe, secretary, following an emergency meeting held on Tuesday.
The strike is scheduled to begin on Wednesday and will continue until the university management meets the union’s demands.
