Senator Okey Ezea, who represented the Enugu North Senatorial District in Enugu State, has died.
Ezea, elected on the platform of the Labour Party, was the party’s sole remaining representative from Enugu State in the National Assembly.
Findings by DAILY POST reveal that the lawmaker died on Tuesday in the United Kingdom, where he was undergoing medical treatment. He had reportedly received earlier medical care in Germany.
The news of his passing was first announced by popular on-air personality ‘Senator’ Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, who wrote on Facebook: “Sad News. Senator Okey Ezea, representing Enugu North, is dead… Rest in Peace.”
While full details surrounding his death are yet to be confirmed, the announcement has sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms.
