Venus Williams ties the knot with Andrea Preti in dual weddings in Italy and Florida

Tennis icon Venus Williams has married Andrea Preti, celebrating their union with two wedding ceremonies held in Italy and Florida. According to Vogue, the couple first exchanged vows on September 18 in Ischia, Italy. Venus explained that while Italy had always been their dream location, legal paperwork delays for foreigners led them to plan a second ceremony.

Honoring Venus’ Florida roots, the couple held another wedding celebration in Palm Beach, Florida. The event was organized by Jennifer Zabinski of JZ Events—the same planner behind Serena Williams’ 2017 wedding—and featured a week-long series of festivities. Venus shared that the celebrations began on Monday, including a yacht outing gifted by Serena, where close family and friends enjoyed food, music, dancing, and quality time together.

The lead-up to the Florida ceremony included a bridal shower and an intimate dinner at the Miami members’ club Sopra. Venus and Andrea officially married in a courthouse ceremony on December 19, with Venus wearing a Morilee New York dress. Preti described the courthouse wedding as deeply emotional and meaningful, calling it the second-best day of his life.

During the main ceremony that followed, Preti entered with his mother to “I’ll Be There” by the Jackson 5, symbolizing her unwavering support for Venus. Venus walked down the aisle to “Ovunque Sarai” by Irama, a song that reminded her of her late grandmother.

After exchanging vows they had written themselves, the couple exited to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder and later shared their first dance to “I Only Have Eyes for You” by the Flamingos.

The celebrations concluded with an after-party at Sophia’s Hobe Sound in Hobe Sound, Florida, bringing the couple’s joyful wedding festivities to a memorable close.
